Oodles of Poodle Puppies

We work to capture each litter, the dam we owe them to, and the families who joined ours because of them. Our first litter from our matriarch, Alli, in April 2012 was an exciting event indeed and set the stage for how we would “do puppies” for years to come. Litters are our time to HOST … new puppy families, friends, and family—everyone working to help us raise the most socialized puppies possible!

Wool ‘n Wind puppies are raised with a Positive Puppy Culture philosophy. They experience the scents, and eventually sights of over 100 different individuals in their first eight weeks of life. We invite guests with the intention of exposing our pups to folks of many ages, life stages and physical features. Pups are held and cuddled by children, teens, adults and elders; they are stroked and loved on by folks who are bearded, bald and perfumed. They are exposed to our pack, and other dogs with supervision. They experience a multitude of scents … all of this to be sure that we send a Wool ‘n Wind puppy home, they are confident, fearless and ready to begin their very best life.

We also take great care in selecting the puppy that will be right for you. Are you looking for a hiking buddy? A couch potato? A cling-on shadow or a dog that will guard? While all of pups have a solid, sound temperament, they each have their own personality. We conduct a Volhard test on every pup at 7 weeks to know and who will fit best in each prospective home. We work with families throughout the puppy-rearing process and hope that by time we select the puppy for you and your family, we have earned your trust in knowing that puppy is the one meant for you.
