Dogs as Help and Healing
Life can sometimes be tough. Because of our poodles’ personalities, our dogs can serve as wonderful therapy dogs. If you are looking for a poodle breeder in Connecticut who is dedicated to therapy training, that’s us.
We work with the trainers at NEHAB – New England Human Animal Bond Foundation, training our dogs in the therapeutic setting of an Assisted Living Center in Hebron, CT. Our dogs are trained and certified as a Therapy Dog – A Therapy Team – as the handler is trained and certified as well. They work to achieve their CGC – Canine Good Citizen- and then they begin to add up their visits to earn the AKC title of THDN, THD, THDA, THDX, THDD, and THDS.
Our dogs work in nursing homes, public and private school settings and in corporate offices providing support for stress reduction, grief and loss, and general anxiety. Their empathy knows no bounds.
