After a sound genetic base, our first priority is temperament. Standard poodles are big, comedic love-bugs who only want one thing in life – their person. We work to ensure that these are exactly the traits you find in W ‘n W puppy. We also campaign an occasional dog on the AKC show circuit to validate that what we think is beautiful is confirmed by various objective judges, certified to judge poodles against the breed standard. This helps us to know that we are on the right track. We do not show every Wool ‘n Wind pup, just enough to know that our breeding program is sound according to the standard.

When you purchase a Wool ‘n Wind puppy, you are not ‘buying a dog’ … rather, you are joining a family. Ours is a large and growing family of amazing people who have opened up their homes to our puppies and their hearts to us. We host a poodle reunion every summer – where everyone comes ‘home’ for an afternoon of family togetherness.
